Rame

Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

In short: Rame has no account, no ads and no analytics or tracking tools. Your favourites and settings stay on your phone. Rame's server only keeps what it needs to send you the alerts and reminders you turn on.

What stays on your phone

Your favourite stops, saved trips, recent searches, settings and the last times shown (for offline mode) are stored only on the device. They are deleted when you uninstall the app.

Your location

Rame uses your location only if you allow it, to:

Your location is sent to Rame's server, which passes it to Île-de-France Mobilités to find the stops or the journey, then forgets it: it is not stored. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone's settings.

Rame's server

Times go through a Rame server hosted by Cloudflare, which queries Île-de-France Mobilités. Each request contains the stop, search or journey asked for, and an anonymous ID picked at random when the app is installed, used only to limit the number of requests per device. Cloudflare keeps technical logs (including the IP address) for a few days, for operation and security.

Traffic alerts and departure reminders

If you turn them on, the server stores:

This data is deleted when you turn alerts or reminders off, or when the notification ID is no longer valid (for example after uninstalling). Notifications are delivered through Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Apple Push Notification service on iPhone).

Services the app calls directly

These services receive your IP address, like any website:

When you choose to open walking directions in Google Maps or Apple Maps, the destination is passed to that app.

What Rame doesn't do

Rame doesn't sell your data, share it for advertising or build a profile of you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask for access to your data or for its deletion by writing to contact@getrame.app. The quickest way is to turn alerts and reminders off in the app, which erases them from the server. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Changes

This page will be updated if the app changes, with a new date at the top.
